Infusions, the restaurant at the KLO Road campus of Okanagan College overseen by Ruth Wigman, has won a Diner's Choice award from users of a table reservation platform.

The restaurant at Okanagan College in ѻý, which features aspiring student chefs learning their kitchen craft from master cooks, has received a Dinerѻý Choice award from Open Table, an online reservation platform.

The award is based on feedback submitted by customers using Open Table.

“Winning this award means that Okanagan College is doing a top tier job of training future chefs who are making an important contribution to the Okanagan food, beverage and tourism industry,” Ruth Wigman, who oversees Infusions, said in a Thursday release.

Wigman has competed on Food Networkѻý Canadaѻý Top Chefs and Beat Bobby Flay.

The use of locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients has been one of the keys to success for Infusions, Wigman said. Inexpensive pricing is also an appeal for customers, she said.

“Diners get the opportunity to indulge in dishes like pecan-crusted rack of lamb with minted apple and potato gnocchi, or cornmeal apple cake with warm caramel sauce and mascarpone ice cream for a fraction of the price they would pay for a three-course meal anywhere else,” Wigman said.

Infusions is open for reservations Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. To view the menu or book a reservation, see
