To be called Sutton Place, the six-storey luxury hotel with 245 rooms is owned by Vancouver-based Northland Properties, a private company controlled by the Gaglardi family of Vancouver, which operates a variety of hotels and restaurants. Tom Gaglardi also owns the Dallas Stars NHL team.Ìý

Northland Properties Ltd. is also footing the bill for construction of the new parkade at YLW. In exchange, it will draw a big share of all parkade revenue through a 99-year lease with the city-owned airport.Ìý

ItÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ expected the parkade will open in 2027 and the hotel will open in 2028.
